  1. North Texas attracts employers with voracious appetites for IT Talent

  1. Migration to the Cloud

This is not a “cut and paste” operation. You’ll need to rely on the skills and experience of your best people to deal with challenges of migration of mission-critical systems to the cloud to mitigate risk and determine what apps are best suited. The move requires advanced skills and detailed knowledge of the “to be” environment. Read more about this here.

  1. Cyber Security will be an even bigger deal

Cybercrime will cost $6 trillion worldwide by 2021, double the cost recorded in 2016. Breaches will be bigger, hackers will be smarter, and security teams and budgets will be hard-pressed to keep pace. Smart, vigilant and creative personnel will be sought after to deal with it.

  1. Successful companies will find creative ways retain their key employees

Almost 70% of organizations report that employee turnover has a negative financial impact. Therefore, workplace flexibility, performance-based compensation and training will be more important than ever to retain key employees.

  1. DevOps will be even more mainstream

Forrester Research recently estimated that 63% of enterprises have implemented DevOps in some form. In many enterprises, a DevOps approach will become the mainstream approach to thinking about, delivering and supporting software.
